5 Most Effective Ways to Transfer from Fixed Mindset to Growth Mindset -2022

We all come to life with Uniq genetic makeup, we have different appetites, capabilities, capacity and biodiversity. Mindset is a set of assumptions, methods or a notion held by one or more people. In psychology, mindset is called deep and rooted. It really acts like a trigger, How one may feel, act truly impacts how we project our leadership into the world. Research shows that being a positive mindset can enhance the leadership experience and collective productivity.

Science once told us that the human brain stops developing in childhood, however, we now know that the brain is constantly evolving and changing. Many parts of the brain respond to experiences and our software can be updated through learning. Despite the neurological facts, some people still think that you are stuck with the talents and smarts you are born with. Psychologist Carol Dweck, from Stanford University, was the first researcher to explore the idea of fixed and growth mindsets.

We often see in our surrounding people with good curriculum background are known to be the smartest one, on the other hand, an average curriculum background is entertained very less. Now that the Indian market is diversifying experience matter more than just the curriculum background even an average scorer is doing well but How? the reason is they starve for success they have that zeel to do something, they take things as a challenge and go beyond their capacity to make things happens.

If you ask someone “Do you belong to a growth mindset?”, most people will say yes. In fact, when I ran a poll on LinkedIn asking people if they had a growth mindset, only 13% said they didn’t. This is called the “false growth mindset” and it’s a natural consequence of being human. You probably heard somewhere that having a growth mindset was good, so you automatically say you do. If you want to challenge your “yes autopilot” and take a deep dive into what is a growth mindset and how you can foster it, buckle up!

Growth Mindset:- They believe that our basic abilities can be developed and improved through dedication and effort. Neuroscience says that carrying a growth mindset has great benefits in this our muscles relax, we breathe better and our inner capacity increases.

Fixed Mindset:- They believe that our abilities are predefined can't be changed, they also believe that their skills are immovable, give up in resistance, confidence demerits. Feel insecure by the success of others, run from error do not engage with it with a desire to solve or look smart, Ignore negative feedback even though it might be helpful, Avoid exploring new things with the fear of failure.

What we believe is what we achieve. Conscious or unconscious, how we choose to interpret our experiences can set the boundaries on what we can accomplish. From a poll which I ran on LinkedIn nearly 90% of people aspire to be "Growth Mindset" but How do we become one? these five practices can make us move from a fixed mindset to a Growth Mindset.

Learn to Hear Inner Critic:- Every time we start a new task or take a new role our mind raise question on us, are you sure you want to take this role/task up? perhaps you will fail and if you do fail it says I told you not to begin with it in the 1st place. Learn to hear this sound and acknowledge it, it's not you but it's rather a reflection of action that you took.

Recognise you have a choice:- How we think and how we feel is a choice, How we interpret the challenges, Obstacles, Barriers that come our way is also our choice. If we focus on shifting our mindset and show some will, we will find undiscovered power in our determination.

Talkback to your Inner Critic:- If the voice says you can't do it tell, I'm not sure if I can do it now but I think I can do it over time and write it down every time you prove it wrong.

Align to your core purpose:- Always look back at your Goal think about who you are who do you want to be? and the legacy you want to leave behind, from there connect your purpose and take an Authentic action moving forward.

Be Consistent and Flexible- You can not transfer yourself from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset in a day much like other tasks. as we say "destiny can't be changed overnight it takes time". Be consistent in your action by asking these questions.

What is the Impact or legacy you want to leave behind?
What made you choose one mindset over another?
What's the Goal that you carry for yourself?

By asking yourself these questions on a regular basis and being flexible to learn from them, you can identify your fixed mindset trigger points and develop new strategies to adopt a growth mindset.
